Chronic low back pain can feel never-ending. The longer it goes on, the more it affects your sleep, your mood, your work, and your life.
Good days followed by bad days. You start to improve, then it flares up again. It's exhausting, and you're running out of options.
One person says rest, another says exercise. Google gives you 50 different answers. You need clear, expert guidance you can actually trust.
There is another way. Let me show you.

My coaching isn't about temporary fixes. It's about giving you the knowledge, tools, and confidence to take control of your back pain for good. Here's what my clients typically experience:

I'm Rohan Herbert, and my journey with back pain didn't start in a clinic — it started when I was just 17 years old. A traumatic injury left me with multiple prolapsed discs, and what followed were years of severe, chronic pain that affected every part of my life. I know what it's like to feel stuck, frustrated, and wondering if things will ever get better.
Through that experience, I developed my own deep understanding of back pain. I studied what worked, what didn't, and built strategies that eventually allowed me to overcome the pain and lead an active, pain-free life. That personal journey is what drove me into chiropractic in the first place — and it's what makes my approach different.
After graduating with a Masters of Chiropractic from the University of South Wales in 2012, I've spent over 14 years in full-time practice. As the former chiropractor for Swansea City Football Club and owner of Taibach Chiropractic & Sports Injury Clinic, I've treated thousands of patients. But one thing kept coming up again and again: people suffering with chronic low back pain who had tried everything and still weren't getting results.
That's why I created Elite Back Coaching — to combine my professional expertise with the hard-won lessons from my own recovery. I don't just understand back pain from a textbook. I've lived it. And I've come out the other side. Now I want to help you do the same.
Back pain doesn't discriminate — and neither does my coaching. Whether you're an elite athlete pushing for peak performance or someone who just wants to get through the day without pain, you're in the right place. I've helped people at every level, and I can help you too.
Premier League footballers, international rugby players, elite gymnasts — I've worked with top-level performers and understand the demands of competitive sport. If you need to stay at the top of your game while managing back pain, I've been there.
Whether you're squatting heavy or just trying to get back to training after a setback, I'll help you train around your pain and build a stronger, more resilient back. No more guessing what's safe.
Never trained before? No problem. If you're just starting out and want to build confidence in your body, I'll guide you step by step with a programme that meets you exactly where you are.
You love your sport — running, cycling, football, golf — but back pain keeps getting in the way. I'll help you stay active and enjoy what you love without the fear of flare-ups.
Not interested in the gym? That's completely fine. If you simply want to manage your back pain, sleep better, sit more comfortably, and get through the day without pain ruling your life — this is for you too.
Age doesn't mean you have to accept pain. Whether you're in your 50s, 60s, 70s or beyond, I'll work with you to improve your mobility, reduce stiffness, and help you stay independent and active.
If you have back pain you want to manage, you're in the right place — no matter your age, fitness level, or background.
Understanding why your pain persists is the first step to overcoming it. In this video, I break down the science behind chronic pain and explain why traditional approaches often fall short.
Learn why your brain can keep sending pain signals long after tissues have healed — and what you can do about it.
Discover why painkillers, rest, and one-off treatments often don't address the root cause of chronic back pain.
Understand the evidence-based approach that helps people break free from the cycle of chronic pain for good.
This isn't just about exercises. My online back pain coaching covers a wide variety of content tailored to your needs — including lifestyle advice, pain management strategies, pain education, sleeping postures, daily routine adaptations, and much more. Every plan is built around you, your pain, and your goals.

Don't just take my word for it. Here's what people who've worked with me have to say about their experience.
"After 3 years of chronic back pain and countless appointments, Rohan's coaching programme was the first thing that actually made a difference. His approach is so different — he actually listens and explains everything clearly. I'm now back to running and I never thought that would happen again."
"I was sceptical about online coaching, but Rohan made it work brilliantly. The video sessions felt just as personal as being in a clinic. His exercise programme was progressive and made sense. Six months on and my back has never felt stronger."
"Rohan's ebook was a game-changer. For the first time, someone explained my back pain in a way I could actually understand. The exercises were clear and I could do them at home. It gave me the confidence to start moving again without fear."
"As someone who lifts weights regularly, my back pain was really holding me back. Rohan understood exactly what I needed — he didn't just tell me to stop lifting. He helped me modify my training and now I'm lifting pain-free. Absolute legend."
Stop letting back pain control your life. Send me a brief message about your symptoms and I'll make sure online coaching is right for you — then I'll send you a link to book your first session.
I know making the decision to invest in your health can feel daunting, especially if you've been let down before. Here are some of the most common questions I get asked.
We connect via video call (Zoom or similar) at a time that suits you. During our sessions, I'll assess your movement, discuss your progress, and adjust your programme. Between sessions, you'll have access to your personalised exercise plan and can message me with any questions. It's like having a chiropractor in your pocket.
Not at all — my coaching is for everyone. I've worked with Premier League footballers, international rugby players, and elite gymnasts, so I'm comfortable managing high-level performers. But the majority of my clients are everyday people: beginners who've never trained before, older adults looking to stay mobile, people struggling to get back into exercise, and plenty of people who have no interest in the gym at all. If you have back pain you want to manage, you're in the right place — regardless of your age, fitness level, or background.
For chronic low back pain, research shows that education, exercise, and coaching are among the most effective interventions — and these work brilliantly online. While I can't perform hands-on treatment remotely, the coaching, guidance, and personalised programming I provide can make a significant difference. Many of my online clients have achieved better results than they did with in-person treatment alone.
I understand that frustration completely. Many of my clients come to me after years of trying different treatments. What makes this different is the personalised, ongoing approach. Rather than a one-off treatment, we work together over time to understand your specific pain, build the right programme, and make adjustments as you progress. It's not a quick fix — it's a lasting solution.
Most of the initial exercises require no equipment at all. As you progress, some basic items like a resistance band or a foam roller might be helpful, but I'll always provide alternatives. You won't need a gym membership or expensive equipment.
Your safety is my top priority. Flare-ups can happen, and they're a normal part of the recovery process. I'll teach you how to manage them and we'll adjust your programme accordingly. You can always message me between sessions if you're concerned about anything. I'm here to support you throughout the entire journey.
I want you to feel confident in your decision. That's why the initial consultation starter session is so important to do first so that we can assess that online coaching is the right fit for you. For the 6 or 12-week programme, we can discuss options after the first two sessions. I'm committed to making this work for you.
Everyone's journey is different, but most clients notice improvements within the first 2-4 weeks. This might be reduced pain, better movement, improved sleep, or simply feeling more confident about their back. Lasting change takes time, which is why the 12-week programme is designed to build progressively. The goal isn't just to feel better temporarily — it's to give you the tools to manage your back for life.
To make sure online coaching is the right fit for you, I ask that you start by sending a brief message describing your symptoms and situation. Once I've reviewed your message, I'll send you a personalised link to book your first session.
Have a question about the ebooks or just want to chat? You're welcome to reach out for that too — I'll get back to you within 24 hours.
